James G. Moran, D.O.
Dr Moran is a fellowship trained and board certified physiatrist specializing in the medical and interventional treatment of the adult spine. Dr Moran is a diplomate of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and a fellow in the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has subspecialty certification in pain medicine from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr Moran received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed his fellowship in Interventional Spine at the Mid Atlantic Spine Institute. He has been in practice since 2003.
Peter Witherell, M.D.
Dr. Peter Witherell is a graduate of the Thomas Jefferson University Medical School in Philadelphia. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology as well as specialized fellowship training in Pain Management at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Witherell is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Sub-Specialty Board Certified in Pain Management. Dr. Witherell served as the director of the Christiana Care Pain Center until forming Interventional Spine Pain Consultants with his colleague Dr. James Downing in 2003.
Dr. Witherell has been providing advanced interventional treatment of adult spine related pain in Delaware for the past 15 years. He has been both a published author as well as lecturer on various pain management topics. Dr. Witherell is an active member of both the International Spine Intervention Society and American Society of Interventional Spine Physicians.
Jay Downing, M.D.
James E Downing, M.D., a Delaware native, is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine. He performed residency and fellowship in Anesthesiology and Pain Research at Tulane and The Ochsner Clinic. Dr. Downing is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Sub-Specialty Board Certified in Pain Management. He has authored journal articles on pain management and presented research to the American Society of Regional Anesthesia.
During active duty in the US Army Medical Department, Major Downing was Chief of Anesthesia and Operative Services at Bayne Jones Army Hospital. In 1991, Dr Downing joined the staff of Ochsner Foundation Hospital, New Orleans, where he was Clinic Director of Anesthesiogy and President of the New Orleans Anesthesia Society. In 2000, Dr Downing became an associate at Christiana Care’s Spine and Pain Care Clinic. In 2003, Drs. Downing and Witherell founded Interventional Spine Pain Consultants, specializing in treatment of the adult spine.
Dr. Downing is Medical Director of SpineCare Delaware, a member of the State of Delaware Health Care Advisory Panel as well as The International Spine Intervention Society and the American Association of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Adam Ginsberg, D.O.
Adam Ginsberg D.O. is an Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation board certified Physiatrist. Dr Ginsberg was the chief resident at the State University of New York Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Downstate program. After residency, Dr Ginsberg completed an interventional pain management fellowship in Santa Barbara California at LAGS Spine and Sportscare. Dr. Ginsberg performs a multitude of interventional procedures including epidural steroid injections, nerve rhizotomy, peripheral joint injections and neurostimulation.
Dr. Ginsberg specializes in non surgical pain management using a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Utilizing both his rehabilitation and interventional training, Dr Ginsberg focuses on improving both everyday function and quality of life.
William M. Newell, M.D.
William M. Newell, M.D. specializes in Interventional Treatment of Adult Spine Rehabilitation Medicine. Board certified as a Physiatrist by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Newell is also fellowship trained in X-Ray guided and Ultrasound guided interventional , offers a wide variety of non-surgical interventional procedures for both the diagnosis and treatment of neck, back and joint pain. Dr. Newell residency was with SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn, NY and his internship was with St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY. Achieving his Medical Degree at State University of New York – Downstate Medical School, Dr. Newell is also a member of Fellowship, LAGs Spine and Sportscare in Santa Maria, CA.
